The Yhcrana Orbital is a micro-ecosystem in a box.  Twelve grow beds manufactured from natural fibers orbit around the "Sun Tube", a 300 watt high efficiency LED lighting system.  The grow beds are filled with a natural media that provide anchoring for the roots and have been inoculated with safe and beneficial fungi and bacteria, that help in the delivery of nutrients to the roots, while crowding out pathogens that could be detrimental to plant health.  This unique system is the ultimate in efficiency for converting light energy to food.  The Yhcrana Orbital fits in any 3' X 4' floor space and two units may be stacked on top of each other, giving an effective grow area totaling 48 square feet in a 12 square foot footprint!  In addition, the lighting system is always within 9.5 inches of the leaves, ensuring full penetration with energy efficiency exceeding 4 times that of a conventional horizontal bed.  The beds rotate around the 'Sun Tube' by means of two high torque stepper motors, momentarily dipping each bed in a nutrient solution, that may be sourced chemically, as in conventional hydroponic systems, or sourced from an organic, or aquaponic nutrient solution.  Totally self contained, the unit provides an enclosed eco-system where biological pest controls may be implemented, and day-night cycle, temperatures, humidity, carbon dioxide, and tank water level can be controlled and monitored remotely.  This system can grow a variety of food and ornamental crops, virtually anywhere that has a grid or a renewable power source.
